Mindfulness and Meditation

According to Psychology Today, mindfulness is a state of active, open attention to the present. This state is described as observing one’s thoughts and feelings without judging them as good or bad. Meditation, on the other hand, is is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

Practicing mindfulness – whether through meditation or yoga – can be extremely beneficial to one’s overall health. We have compiled age-appropriate gift ideas for children, as well as mindfulness resources for teens and adults, including journals and devotionals. Finally, we have curated a list of mental health apps for therapy, mindfulness, and self-care.
